Teessides Only Independent Record Store

E-Commerce Shop
28th April, 2009

Developments in the online shop mean that the ecommerce site is about to go live in 4 weeks time (eeek!)

I have been told that the hamsters have been working overtime in order to get some nice items in the store for launch day.

Why not join us over on facebook to stay abreast of any changes. You can also add some requests as to what you would like to see in the store.

You may be pleased to know that we have the new Chapman Family (we freaking love them!) single - "Kids" on lovely 7" and we still have some copies (not very many like) of their first single on Don't Tell Clare "You Are Not Me". You can also buy it from the Don't Tell Clare Webstore

Our new site...Welcome
30th November, 2008

Sound it Out Records has existed for many years, hidden away in the back streets in Stockton On Tees, which is situated in Teesside, back when the shop was first open this area used to be known as Cleveland. Alas Cleveland is no more and the many great record shops that used to be found round these parts have (for the majority) passed away to the great high street in the sky. Many can be found online under various guises and on re-seller sites such as Gemm, Music Stack and on rare occassion Discogs. We too operate on many levels and the shop now deals with online sales as well as the traditional cash and paper bag types.

We have accounts with Gemm, Discogs and have been trading on eBay for a bit as well. The majority of our online sales are dealt with through eBay where we have a store set up please look us up we are the seller "sound-it-out-records" (link opens in new window).

Those of you who may have visited the store at some point will know that we stock everything from Abba to Zappa, and eveything inbetween (even the occasional classical piece too). There truly is something for everyone. We like to think that we provide a personal touch that you won't find on the high street. Does your local major record store know exactly what you are listening to and what artists you MAY end up liking? No? Thought not.

Welcome home.
