The Chapman Family – On Christmas Eve 2011, in a packed and unseasonally sweaty shop, Teesside’s superb noisy post-punk rockers and shop favourites, The Chapman Family, ripped through a stunning set featuring songs from their astonishing debut album and also showcased brand new tracks from their EP ‘Cruel Britannia’ which launches a ferocious attack on the ‘enforced joy’ of Britain in Jubilympic year. Frontman Kingsley’s impassioned keyboard-led sonic rock assault left everyone in no doubt that The Chapman Family are a force to be reckoned with. Truly this is music with a message.
