TV Smith 8th July 2012 – Instore

TV Smith – In July, Sound It Out played host to a genuine punk legend. TV Smith, frontman from The Adverts, the seminal punk outfit who had a huge smash hit with ‘Gary Gilmore’s Eyes’ in 1978, played what can only be described as a FEROCIOUS acoustic set displaying the energy and drive of a man easily half his age. As the adoring crowd shouted out songs from his heady punk heydey, he obliged by playing every one of them, before hanging out with us for an hour or so, signing posters and records and CDs. A genuinely humble and lovely man.
